This year, Samsung launched Galaxy S22 series as well as Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 flagship smartphones. In 2022, the company is expected to ship 260 million Galaxy phones worldwide. Meanwhile, Samsung 2023 smartphone production plan for Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 has been allegedly revealed.

According to the smartphone production plan, Samsung is planning to produce 290 million units and ship 270 million units in 2023 with an increase of 10 million units compared to the ongoing year. Korean media outlet TheElec reviewed the production, which is also available in video.

The leaked production plan includes all the future flagships including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The company is likely to produce 32.63 million units of the Galaxy S23 lineup, while there’s a combined plan of 10 million units for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

To be noted, the above-mentioned figures are from production plan, not the shipments target. An earlier report revealed that the company is estimated to ship 270 million Galaxy smartphone units in 2023, while the recent one suggests the production of 290 million units.

Since the 2023 production plan is set at 290,68 million units, the number has extremely decreased. During the same period last year, Samsung held an event and announced its plans, but this year’s production plan was 334.2 million units. The plan for next year decreased by 13% to 290.68 million units.
