One UI 5.1 volume control interface

Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy S23 smartphones with One UI 5.1 software. This new version of One UI brings plenty of new features and improvements. But at the same time, One UI 5.1 has removed the Color Palette support from the Volume control interface.

The Color Palette feature is one of the most loveable features of Samsung’s custom software as it lets the customers theme their Galaxy phones based on their lock screen or home screen wallpaper. This Color Palette theme applies throughout the device’s user interface as well as on the app icons.

The Korean company significantly improved the Color Palette feature with One UI 5.0 software with the installation of 16 Palettes and Basic Color options. But unfortunately, the new One UI 5.1 seems to be ruining the functionality of the feature.

One UI 5.1 volume control interface

The Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones are about to go on their first sale but some famous tipsters and tech bloggers have already got their hands on the smartphones. One of the tech bloggers has recently shared a screenshot of the volume panel interface of the S23 Ultra phone that shows that it no longer supports the color palette feature.

In reply to this, various other early users of Galaxy S23 have also shared the same thing. When they apply the color palette throughout the system interface, all compartments are getting themed, except for the Volume Panel.

Maybe, it is a bug of the particular smartphone or the early One UI 5.1 build, but for now, the consumers’ concerns only indicate that the company has removed Color Palette support from the volume control interface.

It will be worth seeing whether Samsung will fix this in the updated version of One UI 5.1 software coming to older Galaxy phones later this month.
