Samsung ‘One UI 5.0 Public’ Begins Rollout On October 24 – Galaxy S22, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4

Samsung Italy has reportedly announced the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 for Public. The software update will start reaching the recent flagship Galaxies on October 24, 2022. Additionally, the company pushed an early Stable build to select Galaxy S22 Ultra units with full changelog that notes all the new features and changes.

According to the report, the following devices will start getting stable One UI 5.0 update on October 24:

  • Galaxy S22
  • Galaxy S22+
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4

On the other hand, the rest flagship Samsung smartphones will also get the stable One UI 5.0 before the end of 2022. These devices include the Galaxy S21, S20, Note 20, Fold 3, and Flip 3. Check the complete device list here.

Samsung points to six key sections of the stable Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update.

  • New look for icons and illustrations;
  • New call pop-up and new notification layout;
  • New management for device customization (lock screen, wallpapers, new layout for widgets);
  • Productivity optimization (improved multitasking, new possibility of extracting and scanning a text, optimized Samsung Dex and Samsung Notes, Connected Devices);
  • Optimized routine mode, new Sleep mode;
  • Privacy and security optimization.
