Samsung’s October 2022 security update reaches Galaxy Tab S6

A bunch of Samsung Galaxy smartphones have received this month’s security patch update all over the world. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S6 is the first tablet to get access to Samsung’s October 2022 security update.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 was launched with pre-installed Android 9 OS in 2019. The devices have recently received the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 update which installed a bunch of new features and functions that are specially customized for large-screen devices.

This was the last major software update for the Tab S6 and it will now only receive security patches. Furthermore, the October 2022 patch for this tablet is rolling out in some Asian counties including Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, as well as in Australia and Germany.

Samsung is improving the performance of Galaxy Tab S6 tablets with the October 2022 security update. The devices are getting enhancements for system security and stability so that you can have a seamless and bug-free experience over it.

In addition to this, the company has released the details of this month’s security patch and it mentions fixes for around 50 privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities. These include 18 SVEs and 42 CVEs from Samsung and Google.

How to download manually:

As soon as this update reaches your tablet, it will notify you. In case you want to check it manually you can go to Settings on your phone. Enter the Software update menu and tap on the Download and install option. Now follow a couple of instructions mentioned on your screen and it’s done!
