Samsung will rollout 5G software updates in November 2022 in India
5G network service has launched in India on October 1, yet smartphone vendors are not providing 5G connectivity to their customers. Now it’s reported that Samsung will start rolling out 5G software updates in India starting mid-November 2022.
Samsung India has told IANS that the company is working with operator partners for a seamless roll-out of the 5G experience for the customers. In a statement, Samsung confirms that will start releasing new software updates for Galaxy smartphones with 5G support next month.

This announcement has come from the meeting where India’s Telecom and IT departments discussed the 5G network concern with smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi and major telecom operators including Jio, Airtel, and Vi (Vodafone Idea).

Samsung India spokesperson told IANS, “We are working closely with our operator partners and are committed to rolling out OTA updates across all our 5G devices by the middle of November 2022, enabling Indian consumers to experience 5G seamlessly.”
It’s worth mentioning that Samsung will also roll out stable One UI 5.0 updates for Galaxy smartphones widely in November. It’s likely that these updates will also include 5G connectivity support in India.
So far, only nine Samsung smartphones including Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, S22, S22+, S22 Ultra, S21 FE, A53, A33, and M33 have 5G support. While other Samsung devices including high-end Galaxy S21, S20, Fold 3, and Flip 4 are yet to receive 5G software updates that will enable the fastest connectivity for them in India.
Samsung is not only planning to unveil the Galaxy Tab A9 in India next month but there will be a Plus variant too. In a recent development, the Galaxy Tab A9+ has been spotted on Google Play Console.
Google Play Console listing doesn’t reveal much about its specs, while its existence is almost confirmed. The Galaxy Tab A9 Plus will feature a 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution display, while the size remains unknown at the moment.

Past reports revealed that this tablet will be equipped with Snapdragon 695 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM. However, the Tab A9 is said to sport MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset and a 1340 x 800 pixels resolution display.
Samsung Smart View feature is getting a new update with version 8.2.16.44. This feature allows you to mirror your phone’s screen to your TV, as well as control the TV with your mobile.
Now, the company is enhancing the Samsung Smart View feature through a new update. It fixes some issues that users spotted in previous versions to improve the performance and stability of the app.
The installtion package size of this update is 5.73MB, available on the Galaxy Store. If you use the Smart View function of a Samsung smartphone, then you should install the latest update of it.
