Samsung phones about to get new Google Messages with cleaner UI

Samsung phone users may soon receive a small but useful update in the Google Messages app. Google is working to separate the Camera and Gallery options in the Messages app to make the interface more organized.
In the latest beta version of the app, Google has made a change that separates the Camera and Gallery buttons of Google Messages. This could make the app look better and easier to use.
Earlier, when you tapped the Plus icon while chatting, you saw one option, Gallery. This would open a screen where you could take a photo with the camera and also see your recent pictures below. It was handy but sometimes confusing if you only wanted to use the camera or pick a photo.
Now, in the beta version, Google has added two separate buttons, one for Camera and one for Gallery. If you tap the Gallery button, you will only see photos and videos already on your phone. If you tap the Camera button, it opens the camera view, just like before, but also shows your recent photos below it for quick access.

This update is currently under development in the beta version of Google Messages, and it’s not yet available to everyone. However, Google hasn’t confirmed when it will be available for everyone. But if it works well, it could be rolled out to all users, including those on Samsung phones.
Even though this is a small update, it helps make the app easier to use and saves time when sharing photos or videos in chats. Samsung users who use Google Messages may soon enjoy a cleaner and simpler messaging experience. Stay tuned for more information.

Along with the new support for One UI 8, both modules also bring some small design changes and bug fixes. This means they don’t just work on newer phones, but also they now look and feel better too.
The fresh update for the Samsung QuickStar app arrives with version 9.0.00.01. This version supports phones running One UI 8. It means that users can now enjoy the QuickStar feature on the One UI 8 software smoothly.
QuickStar is a module that lets you customize the quick panel. With QuickStar, you can change the layout, colors, icons, and even hide certain items from the panel. The new update also fixes some bugs, so the app should run more smoothly on the new software.

Samsung Software Update app’s latest update brings new visually rich icon

Samsung has just released a new update for its Software Update app, which brings a new app icon. The latest update comes with version 4.4.08 for Galaxy devices.
The Software Update app is used to install the latest firmware and system updates on Galaxy phones and tablets. With this new update, Samsung has made the app better with a new look.
The fresh update of the Samsung Software update app arrives with a new app icon. The old icon had a circular arrow inside a white square, which looked more like a refresh symbol. Now, the new icon shows a downward arrow inside a white box, with a progress bar below it.

Besides the new icon, Samsung has also made some minor changes to the app. The update fixes minor bugs and improves the app’s performance. Through this, the app should now run more smoothly and feel more stable.
If you have a Galaxy device, you can download the update by opening the Galaxy Store, tapping on the Menu button, and then selecting Updates. Install the update now to enjoy a new look. This small but useful update helps improve the overall experience of software updates on Samsung Galaxy devices.

Samsung will fix a major One UI 7 bug with One UI 8 update

Samsung is planning to improve the Toast History feature within the Nice Catch Good Lock module suite with One UI 8 support. This feature helps users see a list of small pop-up messages that appear on their phones.
In the One UI 7 software, many users noticed a problem with this feature. Instead of showing the full message in the toast notification history, it only shows which app sent the toast. The actual message content is missing.
Previously, users could view the text content of toast notifications. But this functionality is not working as previously, causing inconvenience.
Notably, the Toast History feature in Nice Catch is designed to provide users with a list of all toast notifications that have appeared on their device. Toasts are small, temporary pop-up messages that apps use to deliver brief information. This is useful for checking what notifications have appeared or for fixing problems with apps.

For that, a community moderator has explained that there was a problem with getting the toast message history in One UI 7. Samsung is aware of this and says they will fix it with One UI 8 support.
The moderator mentioned that the company plans to resolve the Toast History issue and reintroduce full toast content visibility with the support of One UI 8 for Nice Catch.
Users can expect a more reliable and detailed Toast History function in One UI 8. The company is working to restore the ability to view the full text of each toast notification. It is expected that Samsung will soon make the Nice Catch module compatible with One UI 8.
At the moment, the latest foldable users are enjoying the One UI 8 features. However, Galaxy S25 series users are also testing them, but through the One UI Beta Program. The company will soon start the One UI 8 rollout for older Galaxy devices. Stay tuned.

Samsung Auto Dex feature gives you a car-friendly screen when you connect your phone to a car display. It combines two the Samsung Auto app and Samsung DeX, which usually turns your phone into a desktop-like screen. But instead of showing a desktop, it shows a car-friendly interface with big buttons and easy access to apps you need while driving.
Even though Samsung Auto is officially available only in China, many users have found ways to use it on phones in other countries. A recent test on the Galaxy A55 showed that even phones without official DeX support can run it smoothly.
