Vivo unveils X Fold+ to take on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

The foldable smartphone market is still in its early stage and it has a long way to go. Undoubtedly, Samsung is the leader in this segment with its Galaxy Fold devices. Recently, Samsung launched Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphones with lots of advanced technologies. Meanwhile, to give it a competition, Vivo unveiled X Fold+.

Vivo X Fold+ specs:

Vivo X Fold+ comes with some minor upgrades over its predecessor. It flaunts an 8-inch 2K+ foldable screen with a 120Hz LTPO Samsung E5 AMOLED panel, UTG glass, and a 6.53-inch FHD+ 21:9 E5 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

It is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor that is paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. It comes with a 4730mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

On the camera side, the device equips a 50MP primary camera with a Samsung GN1 sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP portrait camera, and an 8MP periscope camera with OIS, 5x optical zoom, 60x super zoom, and Laser autofocus. Whereas, on the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter.

Furthermore, the new Vivo X Fold+ comes pre-installed with OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12 OS. Meanwhile, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 runs Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 OS, which is specially customized for larger screen devices.

Other than these, the new Vivo foldable smartphone has stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, USB 3.2 Type-C port, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner both for the inside and outside screen.
