Samsung Galaxy S20 series got an August 2022 security update in different regions. Now, Verizon mobile network carrier is releasing a new update for Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra users, which brings the August 2022 security patch and DSDS feature.

The update installs the latest Android patch to improve system security and stability in order to enhance performance and usability experience. The August 2022 update for Galaxy S20 series devices at Verizon fixes a bunch of privacy and security-related issue and exposures.

Furthermore, the update added Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) feature that let you use two phone numbers on the same device. Users of Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra can identify the latest update via version G986USQU3FVH1 and G988USQU3FVH1 in the US.

You can manually install the update through a few easy steps. Firstly, visit Settings >>  tap on Software update >> click on Download and install. If there’s any update, you can see it on the screen. Now, you have to follow the on-screen instructions.

What is DSDS feature?

DSDS is a feature that stands on Dual SIM Dual Standby. This feature allows you to use two phone numbers on the same or different networks with dual SIM support. Those who want to use dual SIM of different networks can enroll 1 physical SIM and 1 eSIM on their Galaxy device.

Users can send and receive calls and messages to any phone number but at a time, you can use one mobile data as a DDS (Designated Data Subscription). You can set your primary SIM and default phone number in Settings > Connections.
