Samsung re-releasing August patch for Galaxy S22 in September 2022
Samsung started sending a new security patch OTA for the Galaxy S22 series devices in September 2022. Before going ahead, it’s noteworthy that Verizon is releasing the One UI 4.1.1 update for the Galaxy S22 series and the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta program is also underway.
So, coming back to the topic! According to Samsung, the initial (first) August 2022 patch update was released in Germany on July 28, and the changelog reads improvements for the overall stability of functions as well as system security.

Going ahead, the South Korean tech giant pushed the same firmware update with a new build number to the Galaxy S22 series devices on August 26, which comes with the same changelog as the initial build. Well now, Samsung wants you to again install the August 2022 patch firmware, “because, it’s a mystery.”

In contrast, the first August patch sports a version number ending AVG6, while the second bears AVH9 and the third has the same build version as the second – AVH9. While the changelog of this update is just copied and pasted, we expect some bugs might be fixed with it post-installation.
