Samsung debuted the Android 13 Beta testing program for the Galaxy S22 series devices in select markets. The One UI 5.0 software is based on the new operating system and brings a number of new features, in which the “Extract text” is included, but it’s also spotted in One UI 4.1.1.

Highlighted by tipster IceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone running Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 brings the “Extract text” feature, similar to the One UI 5.0 Beta, based on Android 13. You can easily activate the text recognition feature by long pressing the text or tapping the “T” icon in the lower right corner.

Samsung One UI 5.0 and One UI 4.1.1 software versions introduce this amazing feature in order to further increase productivity. Using this feature, you can extract text from any image or screen from Samsung Keyboard, Internet, Gallery, or whenever you take a screenshot.

Once the text is recognized by the software, you can get options to copy, translate and share it as well as you will be able to paste the result into a message, email, or document instead of typing. As the One UI 4.1.1 also offers the same functionality, Samsung might bring it to more Galaxies ahead of the One UI 5.0.

Moreover, the new One UI versions also show suggestions based on text when it appears in an image in Gallery, Camera, or other apps. For instance, if you take a picture of a sign with a phone number or web address on it, you can tap to call the number or visit the site without any hassle.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable devices that are pre-loaded with the Android 12L/12-based One UI 4.1.1 software. This is a minor upgraded version of the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 and brings some additional features and improvements.

Recently, Samsung started rolling out the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone users. It’s an incremental feature drop update, which brings additional new features and optimizations for large-screen devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone has two displays – the cover screen (folded) and the main screen (unfolded). The Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 update brings a new feature for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which provides you with even more control over the refresh rate of both screens.

As mentioned in the update changelog, the One UI 4.1.1 update enhances the functionality of the refresh rate control menu, enabling the adjustment of the refresh rate of both displays separately. The settings can be found at the same place where it was on the One UI 4.1, however, the same refresh rate won’t be applied on both panels automatically.

The motion smoothness options section now shows that the refresh rate settings will be applied on the cover screen, if your Galaxy Z Fold 3 is in folded condition. On the other hand, you will be needing to unfold it if you are needing to alter the refresh rate of the main screen.

Most of the time, we use the Galaxy Z Fold 3 from the cover screen and unfold it while watching movies or playing games. Using this feature, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 users can save the battery life of their foldable phone by picking different refresh rates for both screens separately.
