Intelligent One UI 5.0 Call Screen feature is not available in the US
Samsung One UI 5.0 changelog mentions the Call Screen feature, which is available for Google Pixel smartphones as well. The company has recently seeded the first Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta build, which lacks an intelligent feature for US consumers called Call Screen (Screen Calls).
The One UI 5.0 Beta program is live in the United States for the Galaxy S22 series devices. Post installation, consumers are using their eagle eyes on the web, official changelog, and blogs to taste each newly added feature, however, there are reports that Call Screen is not available in the US.
Seeing the reports across the community, the Beta moderator comes up and said that the One UI 5.0 Call Screen feature is not activated in the US. Users are asking about the ways to activate the Call Screen feature and the reasons for its unavailability in the US.
Seems like there are some difficulties with the US authorities in activating the One UI 5.0 Screen Calls feature, or it may be reserved for upcoming Beta builds. The moderator said that “Currently” this feature is not enabled in the US, this language suggesting that it will surely be activated with future Beta or Public build.
According to Samsung, the feature entitled “Screen calls before you answer” allows calls to be answered automatically to ask the reason. In case, the user can’t or doesn’t want to talk, he/she can tap or type a response that will be read aloud to the caller.
Here’s what One UI Beta Mod. said:
Thank you for your Feedback. We appreciate your contribution to the Beta community. Currently, this feature is not enabled in the US. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
