Verizon rolls out Galaxy Z Fold 3 August 2022 update in the US
After the International variants and some US carriers, the Verizon-bounded Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 users have also started getting the August 2022 security patch as their latest software update in the United States.

Identified via One UI build version F926U1UES1DVG3, this update comes in a package of around 285 MB. The size of the firmware suggests that it don’t bring any new feature or major changes to the device. However, it improves the security and stability of the phone’s system to maintain the users’ experience.

Verizon is additionally bringing fixes for multiple privacy and security-related issues and exploits with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 August 2022 update. These fixes will further enhance your phone’s performance and help you get seamless functionality over it.

According to the Samsung software support document, the company addresses over a dozen vulnerabilities found in Android OS and 31 exposures that affect Samsung apps and software. These are bonded to Samsung DeX, MAC address leak via Wi-Fi and NFC, improper access control in DesktopSystemUI, and more.
Furthermore, if you are using Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 model in the US, you are eligible for the latest firmware upgrade. To download it, navigate to Settings followed by Software update and then Download and install. Just follow a couple of instructions mentioned on the screen and it’s done.

August patch is last monthly update for Fold 3:
Samsung is going to introduce the new version of its custom OS – One UI 4.1.1 which is based on Android 12L next week. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to get the new version update in late August or early September, therefore, the August 2022 patch is the last monthly update for this device before One UI 4.1.1.
