Samsung released Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta for Galaxy S22?
Yesterday, an image consisting of the One UI 5 Beta program banner for the Galaxy S22 series emerged in the Korean community, while, there’s no information from Samsung yet. Shortly after appearing the banner, it was aired across the globe, but still, all scenario is unofficial.
Samsung has not yet officially announced the Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta program for the Galaxy devices. It shows the screenshot that appeared in the Korean community is fake or doctored by someone else. Meanwhile, what about the One UI 5 Beta program?

In late June, it was reported that the Galaxy S22 series smartphone users will be able to join the Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta program in the third week of July 2022. However, the company has not announced anything to date, which shows the Beta program is delayed.

Android 13 coming September
This can be the biggest reason behind the delay in the One UI 5 Beta program by Samsung as Google has reportedly postponed the Android 13 launch to September. According to the document shared by Google, Android 13 will include September 2022 patch, suggesting a delay in launch.
As Google’s delaying the launch of the stable Android 13 OS, it directly affects Samsung in initiating its independent One UI 5 Beta program. It’s worth mentioning that the company announced the Android 13 Beta program for Galaxy S21 series in mid-August 2022.
Android 13 Features
So far, Google released Android 13 Beta 4.1, which revealed several new features and improvements for the Pixel devices. Among the new features, the increased Colour Pallete choices, enhanced game dashboard, and better privacy features are highlighting ones.
One UI 5 Beta
Last month, 9to5Google revealed some screenshots of the Galaxy S22 Plus smartphone running an internal Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta build. The screenshots showcased some of the new features, which Samsung will offer with its upcoming operating system upgrade to Galaxies.
Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta Program for Galaxy S24 series hit full capacity. If you missed joining the Beta Program, there’s good news: Samsung is expected to reopen the One UI 7 Beta on Monday along with the Beta 2 launch.
Max Jambor revealed that Samsung may open the second phase of One UI 7 Beta registration, and the date aligns with previous rumors of a Beta 2 launch. The rollout of the second Beta should bring another opportunity to join the Beta.
At present, Samsung is running the Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series. The program is already live in four out of six key markets: Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
Samsung stopped Beta registrations just the next day after the Beta launch in the US. It seems the slots are fewer than last year, keeping the Beta build restricted to a limited audience.
Recently, Samsung Support confirmed that the One UI 7 Beta Program will start on December 16 in India, and the same date is rumored for the remaining European market: Poland.
The Beta participants will receive an incremental update as Beta 2 on their Galaxy S24 device. However, the latest build will directly be provided to the Wave 2 markets: India and Poland.
The second Beta of One UI 7 will bring improved animation and transition effects. Samsung users can expect more natural and fluid system animations in the next Beta updates.
