Samsung will hold the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event next week to uncover the new gen foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Ahead of the launch, we witnessed several leaks and rumors that exposes smartphones in many ways. Now the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Z Flip 4 cases appear online.

It looks like the company has brought back the last generation’s “Silicone Cover with Strap” for the upcoming phones. The Flip 4 cover has a strap that goes from the top portion of the case through a loop at the bottom that allows the fabric to move and tighten when it is closed.

There are two color options for the Flip 4 case – the black one comes with a green strap, while the white version has an orange strap. Both come in around $37.

As far as Galaxy Z Fold 4 is considered, the looks to be introducing a similar strap case for this smartphone as well. Again, it has two color options – the black variant has a green strap, while the white one comes in an orange strap. It comes in around $45.

Aside from these two Starp cases, Samsung also appears to bring Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 cases with Ring, named Flap Leather Cover and the Clear Cover. The Fold 4 also has a Slim Standing Cover, which seems affable for bracing the phone as a tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on August 10. Aside from the new foldable phones, new wearables such as Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are also the main highlights of the event.

Qualcomm recently unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which will debut with all future Android flagships. Meanwhile, it looks like Galaxy S23 series could be packed with an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which will be manufactured in Samsung Foundry.

Wild rumors reveal that Samsung will manufacture Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in its own foundry, which could be used in Galaxy S23 series devices. The rumor further claims, the production of processors developed by Qualcomm could be in charge of the factories of Samsung Foundry.

Twitter user @RGcloudS claims that the Galaxy S23-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset carries model number SM8550-AC, which is built on 4nm process tech-based N4P. Here, the PP stands for power performance indicating 5% higher frequency and 20% more power efficiency than the 8 Gen 2.

Through its own foundry, Samsung is likely to manufacture the custom processor’s components as per Galaxy S23 smartphones’ specifications. Since the Galaxy S23 lineup is going to use Snapdragon chipset worldwide, it’s an overclocked version, compared to the one released by Qualcomm.

About two weeks back, a tipster pointed out that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor’s model number is SM8550-AB, while, the 8 Gen 1’s model number is SM8450. As Qualcomm used “AB” suffix in the model number, the Galaxy S23’s exclusive chip could have model number SM8550-AC.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus flagships have been spotted on the United States’ FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification database. The timeline of application and certification suggests that the company is rapidly moving towards Galaxy S23 series launch, and it could happen early.

According to the information, the unreleased Galaxy S23 “standard and Plus” variants with model numbers SM-S911B and SM-S916B have been spotted on the FCC database. The documents reveal both of these devices could stick on 25W fast charging support.

The South Korean tech giant introduced the Galaxy S22 flagship lineup in February this year, while its early certifications and a handful of past reports indicate that the Galaxy S23 series may launch earlier.
