Stable Android 13 is just around the corner as Google releases Beta 4.1

Google Android 13 Beta 4.1 has now started to release for Pixel smartphone users with fixes for some issues and bugs. According to release notes shared by Google, Android 13 Beta 4.1 brings fixes to the issue which prevents some apps from enabling or disabling Bluetooth in lack of the BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permission.

Some Beta participants reported having random crashes and automatic reboot issues while connecting to specific WiFi networks, Google also fixed it with the release of the Android 13 Beta 4.1 update. Aside from this, the auto disconnection issue of the Google Meet app’s connectivity was also fixed that emerges during driving.

Last but not least, the US tech giant is giving finishing touches to its next major operating system with the Beta 4.1 release. The company already confirmed that the next build will be Stable, while, looks like, some bugs and issues still need to be fixed for better user experiences.

Android 13 Beta 4.1 (July 2022)

This minor update includes the following fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented an app from enabling or disabling Bluetooth if it didn’t have the BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permission, even though the app was targeting an API level where the permission is not required. (Issue #232107689)
  • Fixed issues that sometimes caused a device to crash and reboot when connecting to certain WiFi networks. (Issue #237308339Issue #237886229Issue #237878437)
  • Fixed an issue where Meet connectivity could drop while driving.
  • Fixed an issue where the system could incorrectly interpret GPS data.

Samsung Android 13

July is just going to be completed in a few days and Samsung has not yet started the Android 13 Beta program for the Galaxy devices. Earlier, it was reported that the One UI 5 Beta program will start for the Galaxy devices in the third week of July, but it has not happened so far.

The Galaxy-exclusive One UI 5 Beta will be based on the Android 13 operating system. The Korean tech giant is expected to start the Stable One UI 5.0 rollout for Galaxy phones and tablets sometime in October this year, however, you can check the latest developments here.
