Google Calendar Holidays

We consider the forthcoming holidays while living a busy life — or, you could say, life at school or in the office. Most people use the calendar that is available in their home or Google to find out when holidays fall, though occasionally we ask someone else.

Why stress when you have a Google product loaded on your Android phone that can assist you with the birthday of your contacts, which will enable you to stay current with the present world, as well as the dates of approaching holidays.

Download Sammy Fans App

Google Calendar will automatically add public holidays and birthdays of your contacts to your calendar. You can get to both of these aspects’ modification options in Settings.

In addition, you can alter the color of Birthdays and toggle Contacts on and off. You can select a different color on Holidays. Tap the tab that shows your country’s name as well, then add more. The variety of holidays you wish to observe is also up to you.

You may select precisely which religious festivals you want your Android calendar to show up for in another tab under Holidays. Don’t miss any key dates by using this Google Calendar tip to use your Google Calendar software like a pro.

Google Messages updates its home screen design for Android users

Google Messages New design

Google Messages has a new home screen design and the company is rolling out it to all users. The app now has a prominent Google logo and a search icon on the top bar. The navigation drawer has been replaced by a profile avatar that opens a menu with options like Archived, Spam & blocked, and Device pairing. You can also access app settings from there.

The search feature has been improved with a grid of categories to filter your messages. You can quickly find your Starred texts, Unread messages, Images, Videos, and more. You can also delete OTPs automatically after 24 hours from the settings.

However, the Message organization feature that grouped messages by All, Personal, and Business has been removed. Google wants to emphasize the RCS experience that it offers with this app.

The new home screen design has been in beta testing for months and is now available to stable users. Google has not officially announced it yet.

YouTube kills the affordable ‘Premium Lite’ subscription

YouTube Premium Lite plan

YouTube is ending its cheaper “Premium Lite” plan that offered ad-free viewing for €6.99 per month. The plan was only available in some European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden since mid-2021. This plan will be discontinued after 25 October 2023.

The “Premium Lite” plan did not include YouTube Music, offline downloads, or background playback, unlike the regular YouTube Premium plan. YouTube says the company is working on different versions of Premium Lite based on user feedback.

YouTube Premium recently increased its prices for individual plans to $13.99/month while family plans cost $22.99/month. YouTube has also been trying to block ad blockers on its platform.

Many users want a more affordable option to watch YouTube videos without ads. YouTube Premium Lite seemed to be a good solution, but it was not widely available. It is unclear if YouTube will launch a similar plan in the future.
