Samsung launching the world’s first 3nm chips on July 25

On June 30, Samsung Electronics started the mass production of the 3nm chips, however, it’s not going to be introduced on July 25. According to Korean media reports, the company has now scheduled a new product launch ceremony on July 25 to showcase 3nm chips to the world.

According to the information, Samsung’s 3nm chips are built on the Gate-All-Around (GAA) transistor architecture. Following the launch, the first batch of these chips is likely to deliver to a Chinese cryptocurrency miner, reports BusinessKorea.

However, Samsung is not relying much on the Chinese consumer due to the current state of the cryptocurrency market, as per reports of Taiwanese and Japanese media. Hwaseong chip manufacturing center is the place where the first 3nm shipment ceremony will be held, while it will be shifted to the finest foundry in Pyeongtaek.

Talking specifically about the program, the minister of Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy – Lee Chang-yang, and Samsung Device Solution Division’s President and CEO Kyung Kye-Hyun will attend the 3nm chip unveiling ceremony.
