Our Galaxy phones show some common yet useful information like date, time, music, notifications, etc on the lock screen itself. But sometimes, it’s not enough to see only the name of the person or application who has sent you a message and you need to see the notification detail so you won’t have to unlock your Samsung phone to read one.

Notifications are the best way to stay connected. They let you know if something new has happened to any of your phone’s applications so you won’t miss anything that deserves your attention. Usually, you don’t want to see ordinary notifications like app updates, etc on the lock screen but you would want messages.

By default, Samsung smartphones hide the notification content on the lock screen. It’s good if you want to hide some personal stuff from other people and need some privacy on your phone. But if you are a busy person who doesn’t have time to spend checking your phone many times, this feature of Samsung (One UI 4.1) will help you.

Here’s how you can allow your Samsung Galaxy phone to show details of the notifications on the lock screen.

Enable Notification details on Samsung Lock Screen:

If you want your phone to show notification details on the lock screen itself, head over to its Settings to turn this feature on. From here, enter the Lock screen section followed by Notifications. Finally, tap on Details, and the feature is turned on.

Here, you can also set the transparency of how your notification appears on the lock screen, reverse the notification color text based on the background color, as well as choose what style of notification you want to see without unlocking your phone.
