Google Play System July 2022 update improvements, bug fixes and new feature details published

July 2022 Android security bulletin went live last week and now Google has released the “Google Play System July 2022 update” that introduces a hand full of new features, improvements, and bug fixes to provide users with seamless performance.

According to the updated support page, the Google Play system July 2022 update brings a new appearance for the section headers in the Data and Privacy tab of the Google account settings as well as new APIs for developers to build an enhanced multi-device user experience.

The update further improves Google Play Store’s Play-as-you-download feature to let gamers start playing mobile games while the app download continues to reduce waiting times.

There are new features to help users discover the Apps and Games they love, optimizations that allow faster and more reliable downloading and installation, enhancements to Google Play Billing, and some improvements to Play Protect to keep a device safe.

In addition to this, the July 2022 update for Google Play system provides an ability to filter the data plans available to purchase by various categories received from the Carrier and new developer features for Google and third party app developers to support Maps related developer services in their apps.

Last but least, this update also brings major changes to the Wallet app. It now supports the Material You design language as well as rebranded as Google Wallet.
