Meanwhile, according to the new information by tipster Ming-Chi Kuo, Samsung Galaxy S23 series will exclusively feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and there will not be Exynos 2300 variant.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (SM8550) is said to offer low heat, high battery life, smooth and stable performance, and an improved camera experience. It is optimized for TSMC’s design rule thus, it is more advanced than its predecessors.

Samsung’s Exynos 2300 chipset, on the other hand, is not able to match the SM8550’s performance level. It is built on Samsung’s 4nm and can’t compete with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in all aspects.

It should also be mentioned the company has created a team to create a custom flagship chipset for Galaxy smartphones that includes 1000 engineers. As per the reports, this chipset will arrive Samsung Galaxy S25 in 2025. Till then, the tech maker seems to use the Qualcomm processor.

Furthermore, as Samsung will use the Snapdragon chipset in all of its next year’s flagship phones, Qualcomm or its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will gain more market share in the high-end Android market in 2023.
