Amazon has an amazing feature called Watch Party for its Prime users that lets them watch a movie or a TV show together with their friends or family remotely. The company is now expanding this feature to Samsung smart TVs and other streaming devices.
Amazon released the Prime Video’s Watch Party feature during the Covid 19 pandemic to let the users enjoy shows with others when they were far away from each other. For more fun, you can even chat with the people you’re sharing the screen with.
At the time of release, the feature was limited to desktop web browsers, Fire TV devices, and mobile apps. But now, Prime Video’s Watch Party feature is expanding to multiple smart TVs from various brands, Roku devices, and gaming consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox.
You can now take advantage of this feature with your friends and family members if you have a compatible Samsung or other smart TV.
How to use Amazon Prime Video Watch Party feature on Samsung smart TV?
- Click on the Watch Party icon in the options within videos.
- A sharable link will appear.
- You copy this link and send it to people you want to share the screen.
- As soon as anyone with a Prime Video subscription clicks on the link, they can start watching the video with you.
Make sure that everyone you want to share the screen with is signed up for Amazon Prime Video. It should also be noted that this feature does not work with live video feeds such as news and sports events.
Moving on, Amazon has only expanded this feature in the US and it is limited to 100 viewers. The video streaming service might release it for more users in the coming time.

Android Auto updates fixed blank screen issue for Galaxy S22: Google
Android Auto is a well-known companion that allows you to use some of your smartphone’s features while driving a compatible car. The platform mainly works on Google Assistant so you can operate features by just saying “Hey Google.”
The Galaxy S22 series, which was released back in February this year, reportedly has blank screen issues with the Android Auto service. Consumers reported about the issue on multiple platforms including Google Community and social.
As part of fixing the blank screen issues, Google seeded Android Auto 7.7 and 7.8 updates. According to Google, those updates have fixed the reported blank screen issue on the Android Auto with Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series devices.
Most of the affected devices reported having blank display issues in which the display of the device gets vacant and doesn’t show any app while continuing to present bottom bar controls. An Android Auto team member confirmed that Google has “implemented a fix” that is present in Android Auto 7.7 and newer.
The blank screen issue has been fixed on some devices after upgrading to Android Auto version 7.7 or 7.8 as it restores compatibility between the S22 and various cars and head units. Meanwhile, some Galaxy S22 series smartphone users are still facing the same problem of Android Auto blank screen.
Seeing consumers’ reports, it looks like Google is required to work more on the Android Auto so it can be completely worthy with the Galaxy S22 series devices. Have you upgraded Android Auto to the latest version? Feel free to share the status of the issue through social media.
