[New Ad] Google services make Samsung phones epic: Ad shows

Samsung and Google recently teamed up to bring a new advertisement that shows how Google services make Samsung devices epic. At the time, the ad clip wasn’t available to watch but it has now been posted on Instagram by Android’s official account.

Samsung very well adopts Android OS and other Google features as both companies have good relations and are partners in many factors. Both companies have recently released an advertisement that shows Samsung devices running various Google services.

Spotted by 9to5Google, the ad starts with a person at a dinner party who uses Google’s ‘Hum to Search’ feature to find a song stuck in his head. Google search identifies the sound and sends it to nearby Samsung TV.

The advertisement shows more examples, it identifies Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 4 with Google Assistant, and ends it with the tagline “Make it epic’. You might hear it obvious, but the promo for Google Assistant’s ‘Hum to Search’ on Galaxy Watch 4 is fairly new.

9to5Google has spotted the Samsung Google ad online as well as in the theater before a movie. There’s also a website accompanying this campaign named samsung.withgoogle.com. Other than Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 3 is as well promoted by Google. It highlights three characteristics:

  • Share entertaining moments together – YouTube preview in Google Messages and Duo live sharing
  • Immerse yourself in what matters most – Google Photos Portrait Blur
  • Amazing alone. Better together. – “Get a text on your phone. Respond on your Galaxy Watch4.” & “Seamlessly switch from phone to tablet.”

Cover screen of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 may feature a 90Hz refresh rate. A new rumor indicates that the company is considering an upgraded panel for its next Flip phone’s cover screen. There’s a possibility of a “variable refresh rate of 90Hz” for the outer display.

Samsung introduced the Z Flip 5 with a quite large cover panel over its predecessor. While there’s no plan for further increasing the outer display on the next Flip, Samsung isn’t entirely skipping the segment. An upgraded panel with a 90Hz refresh rate will deliver a smoother user experience.

The company is expected to hold its next Unpacked event in mid-July. This year, there will be four foldable phones, of which, three will be introduced at the July event. The Z Fold 6 to get Ultra model and an FE (Fan Edition) variant would launch later this year.

Recently, the US variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was spotted on Geekbench. The listing revealed that the phone features the same GPU performance as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It’s also confirmed that the device will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with at least 8GB of RAM>

April 2024 update live for locked Galaxy Note 20 models in the US

After unlocked models, Samsung has started releasing the April 2024 security update for carrier-locked variants of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in the US. The update is live on Comcast, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile network carriers.

April 2024 security patch fixes over 40 security flaws to provide an intuitive experience. It protects against security threats by incorporating the latest security patches for Android. It also enhances some functions to provide a more reliable and efficient user experience.

Users of locked Samsung Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones can identify the April 2024 security update in the US through PDA version N98XUSQS6HXD1.

If you have received the update pop-up on your smartphone, you can install it to get an enhanced experience. You can check and install the update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.

Samsung promises to fix Quick Panel issue in next One UI 6.1 update

Samsung has acknowledged the Quick Panel issue in its latest One UI 6.1 update that is affecting users. The issue unexpectedly activates the quick panel when users interact with notifications or try to access detailed views. This problem has been a cause of inconvenience for many Galaxy users.
