If you don’t believe this source, let me remind you that Samsung itself, however, indirectly confirmed that Android 12L bases One UI 4.1.1. It provided the update for the One Hand Operation+ module whose changelog clearly mentions “Support for One UI 4.1.1 (Android 12L)”.

However, it doesn’t mean that One UI 4.1.1 will be only available for Galaxy foldable and tablets, it will also provide its functionalities to select Galaxy smartphones including – Galaxy S, Note, A, M, F, as well as XCover series, check out the eligible device list here.

Well, Samsung hasn’t confirmed the changes and new features that are coming to One UI 4.1.1. Android 12L however, brings two major changes for large-screen devices including (1) a new two-column interface for the notification shade and (2) a new taskbar UI for improved multitasking.

Samsung on its One UI 4.1.1 might also bring the improved compatibility experience for Galaxy users that Google introduced with Android 12L, which improves scaling for apps that are not optimized for large-screen devices.

Samsung debuted the Android 13 Beta testing program for the Galaxy S22 series devices in select markets. The One UI 5.0 software is based on the new operating system and brings a number of new features, in which the “Extract text” is included, but it’s also spotted in One UI 4.1.1.

Highlighted by tipster IceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone running Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 brings the “Extract text” feature, similar to the One UI 5.0 Beta, based on Android 13. Once the text is recognized by the software, you can get options to copy, translate and share it as well as you will be able to paste the result into a message, email, or document instead of typing. As the One UI 4.1.1 also offers the same functionality, Samsung might bring it to more Galaxies ahead of the One UI 5.0.

Moreover, the new One UI versions also show suggestions based on text when it appears in an image in Gallery, Camera, or other apps. For instance, if you take a picture of a sign with a phone number or web address on it, you can tap to call the number or visit the site without any hassle.
