Samsung is expanding this SmartThings Energy’s AI power-saving mode with the new update, which now will not only apply to air conditioners but also to the Bespoke refrigerator launched last year.

On the other hand, the company also claims that the AI power-saving mode will further expand to Bespoke washer dryer in 2023 to help more consumers save energy while using appliances.

AI power-saving mode saves up to 21% power consumption

AI-saving mode is provided by Korea Electric Power Corporation with total household electricity usage. When the consumer has set a usage power target, it compares the daily electricity target with the estimated usage based on AI.

If predicted usage is expected to exceed the target, the product can be actively put into sleep mode to reduce up to 21% of monthly power consumption.
