On February 11, 2020, Samsung launched its new Galaxy S flagship series, consisting of three handsets – Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20. These devices came with Android 10-based One UI 2.1 out of the box and become the first to get the Android 11 Beta and Stable update last year.

Last month, Samsung upgraded the Galaxy S20 series devices to the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 operating system. Apart from big software updates, these devices are also eligible for new security patch updates on a monthly basis until 2024, thanks to the new Samsung update policy.

T-Mobile locked Galaxy S20 series smartphones are receiving the August 2022 security patch update in the US. It can be identified via PDA version numbers G981USQU3FVH1, G986USQU3FVH1 and G988USQU3FVH1 for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra, respectively.

Samsung is releasing the second August 2022 security update for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in Germany. The update brings system stability and security improvements to enhance user experience.

In addition to this, this update also upgrades some stock apps including Samsung Notes, Internet, Health, SmartThings, Members, Wallet, Smart Switch, Calculator, and Voice recorder.

Samsung Galaxy S21 series is getting a new update with April 2024 security Patch in Korea. The fresh update enhances the system security and adds a new feature of the Samsung Wallet app to provide a smoother performance.

April 2024 update for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones in Korea can be identified through One UI build version G991NKSU4FXD3, G996NKSU4FXD3, and G998NKSU4FXD3 respectively.

The latest update includes a new feature within the Samsung Wallet app, which now supports a ‘Mobile ID’ function. This function allows users to add their mobile driver’s licenses and national veterans registration cards to their Samsung Wallet.
