What to expect from Google during Samsung’s One UI 8 Unpacked today

It’s Unpacked Day, and Samsung is set to unveil One UI 8, new foldables, and smartwatches. Google, on the flip side, will also reveal some exciting upgrades for the Android ecosystem, Gemini, and XR segment, along with Samsung Unpacked.
Here’s what we can expect:
Fold-optimized Android features
Samsung and Google work closely together to tailor Android for Galaxy phones. At the time of the One UI 8 reveal, Samsung mentioned that its software team closely collaborated with Google to fast-track the Android 16 optimization.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip7 FE introduce an innovative foldable form factor. The cover screen and main screen have quite different sizes, and perfectly rendering apps and functions is the key to mastering the foldable experience.
Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8 is confirmed to bring customizable wallpaper, interactive weather, and gallery widgets. We expect an even more detailed reveal by Google that would reach the entire Android ecosystem.
Wear OS 6
Google’s latest wearable operating system, the Wear OS 6, will launch with Samsung’s new watches. The Galaxy Watch 8, Classic, and Watch Ultra 2025 will come pre-loaded with this new OS, even before the next Pixel Watch.
Gemini for Wear OS
Google CEO Sundar Pichai previously confirmed that Gemini for Wear OS is coming later this year. Well, Google won’t have a better opportunity than Samsung’s Unpacked to drop the Gemini upgrade on Wear OS with the 6th iteration.
Gemini will replace Google Assistant when it is released.
Enhanced app ecosystem
Following the Expressive design reveal, many Google apps have been adopting the new appearance. At the Unpacked event, Google may also introduce enhanced apps with a new design and features for Android users around the world.
More on Android XR
Samsung is highly likely to drop available test units of its XR Headset on the Unpacked sidelines. The XR Headset runs the Android XR platform, crafted by Google, and is expected to be more detailed at Wednesday’s Unpacked event.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, Ultra 2025’s boldest feature unveiled

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch Ultra 2025’s boldest feature has been leaked. The company launches today its most advanced smartwatches, which officially marks the brand’s entry into the anti-aging game.
The official Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 reveal is just hours away, but leaked Samsung images have just confirmed their boldest feature that saves users from premature aging.
Antioxidant Index
Samsung’s 2025 smartwatches let you track your antioxidant index. Users can take care of their health and prevent premature aging. It’s a pretty useful upgrade that goes beyond fitness tracking, the common task of wearables.
How it works
Tracking your antioxidant index is pretty simple. You need to hold off the watch from your wrist, and place your finger don’t he sensor. Proceed as per the software directs, and the system will measure your antioxidant index.
Once done, you can access the stats on your Galaxy Watch. It will include the ratio of fruits and vegetables in your diet. By analyzing the index regularly, you can fix your diet and ultimately prevent premature aging.
The higher the index, the better your nutritional intake.

No more updates: 3 Samsung devices lose software support in July 2025

Samsung recently shared its software update plan for July 2025. In this new plan, three Galaxy devices have been removed from the list in July 2025. This means they will no longer receive any software updates from Samsung. The devices are the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy F52 5G, and Galaxy A22 5G.
These three devices were released in 2021. They have now completed their update cycle. Before being removed, they were getting updates twice a year.
Over the past four years, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy F52 5G, and Galaxy A22 5G devices received major Android updates and security updates as promised by Samsung. Now, their software support has officially ended.
However, there’s no need to worry too much. These devices will still get Google Play system updates. These updates help fix important issues and keep your phone secure. You’ll still be able to use apps like banking apps without any problem. The only thing is, you won’t get the latest Android features anymore.
If you want to enjoy the latest features, security updates, and performance improvements, you can switch to a newer device. Samsung has newer models like the Galaxy A56, Galaxy F56 5G, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series, which will continue to get regular updates and offer the latest features.
Still, if your current device is working well and you’re happy with it, there’s no need to upgrade. These phones and tablets will continue to work normally for daily use, such as calling, texting, browsing, and using apps.
While these three Samsung Galaxy devices have ended update support in July 2025, they are still safe and useful for regular daily use.
