Tips to make Samsung phone beautiful

Hide Navigation Buttons:

Getting rid of the on-screen navigation buttons and using swipe gestures instead is the first step to making your phone look more beautiful. To enable swipe gestures on your Samsung device:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Enter Display.
  • Tap Navigation Bar.
  • Select Swipe Gestures.

You can also turn off the Gesture hint toggle to hide the navigation handle at the bottom of the screen to take this step further.

Clear the Clutter With Edge Panels:

Samsung Edge Panel is one of the most unique and useful features that One UI offers. It lets you access app shortcuts, tools, widgets, split-screen functions, and more with simple swipe gestures from almost every screen. To enable it:

  • Go to Settings of your smartphone
  • Select Display
  • Swipe down, Turn on Edge Panels by swiping the switch from left to right.
  • Swipe leftward to open Edge Panels
  • Swipe left or right to select Edge panels
  • Tap on the Settings icon to edit or view more Edge Panels.

Add a Stacked Google Clock Widget:

You can make good use of that extra room on your home screen by adding a large Google Clock widget to get a bold Pixel 6-like look. Here’s how to add the Google Clock widget on Samsung:

  • Long-press an empty spot on your home screen and tap Widgets >> Clock.
  • From the drop-down menu, long-press the Stacked widget and place it on your home screen
  • Select the Transparent clock style on the following page.
  • Resize the widget to fully occupy the remaining space on your screen.

Hide the App Icon Labels:

We can identify apps by their logos, so labels aren’t as necessary and they can sometimes obstruct the look of your wallpaper. Thus, it is better to get rid of them, another effective way to beautify your home screen. To do this:

  • Open the Good Lock app.
  • Go to the Home Up module.
  • Tap Home screen and toggle on Hide app icon label.
  • Instantly, your home screen and the app drawer will look a lot cleaner than before.

Change the App Drawer Layout:

The 4×7 app drawer layout looks the most uniform of all options. To set it:

  • On the Good Lock app, go to the Home Up module.
  • Tap Home screen >> Apps Screen Grid.
  • Set the grid to exactly 4×7.

Give the overview selection menu a makeover:

The default Task Manager of Samsung smartphones is too plain. Whereas, the Good Lock app lets you style your phone’s task manager in a variety of ways. You can choose between six different styles, including List, Grid, Stack, Vertical List, and Slim List.

To enable it:

  • Open the Good Lock app.
  • Enter the Home Up module.
  • Turn the toggle on.
  • Tap on Task Changer.
  • Choose the one you like the most.

Hide Any Apps You Don’t Use:

Our smartphone contains lots of applications. Some we usually use, while some we always ignore. We can hide those useful applications to give our smartphones a clearer look. To do this:

  • Long-press anywhere on your home screen.
  • Tap Settings at the bottom.
  • Tap Hide apps.
  • Select the apps you want to hide.
    • Your app drawer will feel a lot more searchable and manageable afterward.

Make Folders Open in a Pop-Up Style:

By default, folders and the app drawer on your home screen will occupy the entire screen when opened. It’s not convenient nor looks good. With Good Lock, you can make folders on your phone open in a pop-up style instead of filling the whole screen. To do this:

  • Go to the Home Up module.
  • Tap Folder >> toggle on Popup Folder.
    • You can even customize the look of folders from the same menu.

Samsung Gallery One UI 6.1.1 issue

If you’ve updated your Samsung Galaxy phone to One UI 6.1.1 and noticed that your photo albums are missing or not showing up in the Gallery app, you’re not alone. Several Galaxy users are experiencing the same issue. Let’s take a look at what’s cause of this issue and how to fix it.

What’s the Issue?

After the major One UI 6.1.1 update, some users have found that when they select an album group in the Gallery app, their photos are not visible. Instead, the album seems to disappear entirely.

The issue often happens when you have albums with the same name activated in two different features – the album hiding function and the album merge feature. When both are turned on, it can cause albums to disappear or not display correctly.

Samsung’s Response

Samsung is aware of this issue and the community moderator has confirmed that it’s a known issue affecting users after the One UI 6.1.1 update.

The moderator has also mentioned that the company is working on a solution to fix these bugs in future updates. In the meantime, you can check some temporary solutions to resolve it.
