What is Pantone Validation?

The Pantone validation logo signifies and defines the product, such as Samsung HDR TV or Display, to meet the testing and calibration requirements for reflecting real-world Pantone colors and skin tones at a high level of color fidelity.

The Pantone validation process is a benchmark that is created by color scientists and technicians that are working there for decades. It uses a stringent and patent-pending testing process that engulfs advanced X-Rite and color management tech solely designed by Pantone.

What did Pantone find?

During the measurement and testing, they found that Samsung‘s Quantum Dot technology provides a full range of colors even at peak brightness. The benchmarking process is extremely meticulous.

Samsung‘s HDR and Quantum Dot technology and related capabilities enable these modern-day televisions to achieve and maintain color fidelity and to become Pantone SkinTone Validated.
