Smart Samsung One UI 4.1 Phone app settings
With One UI 4.1, Samsung brought multiple new features and customization options to its Galaxy device owners to bring a more seamless and connected experience to the users. However, some old Samsung features are also quite amazing, which are visible in One UI 4.1 as well.

Changing call background
Not only photos, but you can also add videos as call backgrounds on your Samsung calling interface. Here’s how:
- Open the Phone app on your smartphone.
- Tap three dots (More).
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Call Background.
- Select Layout.
- Choose your preferred Call background layout then press the back button to Apply changes.
- Tap on Background.
- Tap on the Plus icon (+) to add a new Call background.
- Select the Photo or Video you would like to use as your Call background.
- If you would like to use a Video as your Call background, ensure that the clip is a maximum of 15 seconds.
- Once you are happy with the background select Set as call background.
- When the Call Background has been applied, you will be able to view your chosen Photo or Video when receiving a call.
Call display while using apps setting
- Go to Phone app settings.
- Tap Call display while using apps.
- Select among Full-screen, Pop-up, and Mini pop-up.
- Keep calls in a pop-up: After calls are answered, keep them in the pop-up.
Answering and ending calls
Even though you don’t get dedicated physical buttons to respond to calls, you can use other buttons. When enabled, you can answer and reject phone calls using the Volume up and Power key respectively.
- Enter the Phone app on your smartphone.
- Tap three dots (More).
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Answering and ending calls.
- Adjust answering and ending call options.
Quick decline message settings
You can add the most common excuse or answer that you want to say when you reject any call. For example, if you are at work or college, you can add “Can’t call, I’m at work/college”.
- Enter your Phone app Settings.
- Tap Quick decline messages.
- Edit Quick decline messages.
Blocking unknown/hidden numbers
Maybe it is a call for a bank loan or a person from whom we do not want to bar, many times the calls of one number bother us a lot. You can easily block their calls or messages on your Samsung phone.
- Head over to the Phone app of your smartphone.
- Tap three dots (More).
- Enter Settings.
- Click Block Number.
- You can add any number you wish to block.
- You can also block calls from unknown and private numbers by enabling the toggle on.
Call alerts and ringtones
- Navigate Phone app >> More >> Settings.
- Tap Call alerts and ringtones.
- Adjust Call alerts and Ringtones and keypad tones.
