Samsung One UI 4.1 Recent, Here is how it appears on your phone!

Published

on

Samsung has put a lot of effort to upgrade its recent section and has been doing lots of customization since it launched its first user interface. Recent is the section that appears on the One UI 4.1 screen when you up-slide your index finger or a thumb on your Smartphone.

Recent covers all the applications that are presently open at your user interface. whether you are doing anything or performing any task with your phone setting, downloading anything from Play Store, or busy doing any kind of job or business-related work on business or utility applications.

The neat and clean setup helps you to multitask and you can switch between multiple applications very easily. This eliminates the necessity to use only one application at a time. Only you need to scroll or slide the screen display, left to right or right to left, just by your thumb, singlehandedly. You also have the facility to open apps on a split-screen view that looks fantastic and enables you to view two apps on the same screen, at the same time.

You have the facility to open the application in a pop-up view, which helps you to lead with a one-hand operation. By moving to recent settings, it offers you to show recommended and most used applications at the bottom of the screen. Additionally, now you can add more useful apps to the recent section, such as your Phone Gallery, and enjoy looking at your screenshots, video captures, screen recordings, and more.

Recent is one point destination for your smartphone, but you should take care of all the opened apps, as they use more of your random access memory up to the large extent and slows your smartphone speed, which you can utilize with some other operations. Multiple applications opened at the interface can slow you down. So for this, there is a ‘Close All’ transparent icon, shown on the downside of the recent page, use it.

By taking care of such a small thing you can save lots of battery power, as these apps may be connected through the internet. You might drain your data as well as your battery. Mind it, don’t repeat the same mistakes again. Because this will be helpful in enhancing the longevity of your smartphone.

Published

Multi Window

Samsung One UI 4.1  multi-window lets you run two applications at the same time in the split-screen view and at the same time, you can run the multiple apps in a pop-up view.

Now expectations are growing from the upcoming One UI 5 multi-window to have some more plus features which could offer the smartphone user some more increased functionality.

One UI 5 is going to come any time but still see the same multi-window function that has been introduced at the time of One UI 1.5, and since then Samsung has just done a few customizations to its multiwindow functionality and interface.

Expectations from the upcoming multi-window?

I am bored, seeing the same interface for a year, though the split-screen and pop-up are very useful features, users have lots of expectations from them. Let us discuss some of them.

Support for all applications, Samsung users are complaining that all the applications do not support the split-screen or pop-up view. So I think the company should work on increasing app support.

Every time we need to choose the application for the split-screen or pop-up view, it would be even better if the multiwindow user interface facilitates the opening of all the recent windows in split or popup mode.

According to me, the split-screen mode should be scalable, which could facilitate the user to scroll, drag, and extend the split-screen view as needed by the smartphone user. At present UI function is not fully scalable.

It would be a lot better if we can keep the recent unused app at the top or side of the screen and can close or open them with one touch or swipe. Samsung needs to work more on multi-window touch gestures, at times the repetitive actions irritate a lot and really feel annoying. Let us see whether the future One UI 5 could fulfill the user expectations or not.

  • First, tap on the recent button to open the list of recently used apps
  • Then swipe left or right, tap on the app’s icon, and then tap Open in the split-screen view
  • On the app list, you can select another app to launch.

How to launch the apps from the edge panel?

  • While you are on the current working application, drag the edge panel handle towards the center of the screen.

How to add app pairs?

Add frequently used apps to the Edge panel to launch them together, in a split-screen view with a single tap. This seems to be an extraordinary work just for nothing.

  • In the split-screen view, tap the circles between the app windows.
  • Tap on Plus Sign, and the apps that you are using in the split-screen view will be saved on the Edge panel as an app pair.

However, to adjust the window size you can drag the circles between the app window. When you drag the circle between the window to the app screen the window will be maximized. The same is the case with the pop-up view.
