Once again, Samsung swiftly defeated the Android maker by first releasing the April 2022 security patch to Galaxy smartphones. The latest Android patches release brings fixes to dozens of exploits and CVEs/SVEs that are yet to be detailed.

At the Galaxy Unpacked 2022, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series will be eligible for five years of regular security patches. While select 2022 Galaxy A series devices are also getting the same treatment, older Galaxies are still compatible with four years of new security patches.
