How to use One UI 4.1-based Object Eraser on your Samsung smartphone?

Day by day, Samsung is expanding its One UI 4.1  update to older devices, bringing the latest Galaxy version to more users. From powerful camera and image editing features to Colour Palette for dynamic theming, the latest update provides tools to define yourself in your own way as a Galaxy Fan.

Among several One UI 4.1 features, Samsung’s One UI 4.1- based Object Eraser is one of the key features that add amazing enhancements to photos. Going forward, what if when an excellent photo can be damaged by background objects, people, shadows, or reflections, but you won’t notice it until after the picture is taken.

But, with the developed Object Eraser tool, users can now easily remove not only background disturbances but also shadows in the subject or reflections in the picture. If you want to remove them from the image, press the ‘Erase Shadow‘ button or the ‘Erase Reflection‘ button, the rest will be handled by an object eraser.

To be noted, the ‘Erase shadows’ and ‘Erase reflections’ features are only supported on the Galaxy S10 devices and the newer devices. Even if the shadows and reflections feature are detected in a photo, only one eraser effect can be used.

How to use One UI 4.1-based Object Eraser on your Galaxy smartphones?

Before you use the One UI 4.1-based Object Eraser feature, you will have to gain the ability to drag what you want to remove from the image, a quick image analysis. The effect can vary from photo to image and depends largely on the quality of your content, frames, and suspicious image.

  1. Open the Gallery app.
  2. Select an image with an object you want to remove.
  3. Tap on the pencil icon to open the image editor.
  4. Next Tap on three dots in the upper right corner of the Gallery app, then tap Labs.
  5. Then Tap the switch next to Object Eraser to enable the feature.

You can also hide the playing content for easy access when you want to focus on another app or UI section.

How to use Object Eraser?

  • If the Object Eraser is enabled, return to the image with the object you want to remove.
  • Scroll to the right of the toolbar at the bottom of the screen and tap the New Object Eraser icon.
  • Tap the object you want to delete. The object is highlighted in purple. You can press to highlight multiple objects at once.
  • Press Erase to remove each highlighted object from the image.
