Snapdragon and Exynos Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra capture different pictures

Samsung Camera One UI 4.1

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra features Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, depending on the region. While both the variants have the same performance level on paper, this is not the case at all in reality as camera quality differences have been found in both models.

DxOMark tested the camera of both Snapdragon and Exynos variants and the test reveals that the devices do not capture the same picture quality even after having the same camera hardware. Also, it’s not always the same model that takes the lead, both have their own specialties.

According to the report, Snapdragon performs better in some instances of zoom cropping as the Exynos variant images have more noise and loss of detail. On the other hand, Snapdragon sharpens the image a lot, which leads to artifacts while Exynos’s images look more natural that way and moiré become less of a problem.

In this way, both the phones have their own specialty and it cannot be said which model is better. The test clears that the Snapdragon Galaxy S22 Ultra is slightly superior in capturing stills whereas, the Exynos Galaxy S22 Ultra is better at zoom and video recording.
