itel launches S25 Ultra clones before Samsung even drops the real thing
itel just launched Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra clones before Samsung drops the real thing. The next-gen Galaxy flagships will be announced early next year. Meanwhile, itel tried to gain some attention on the name of Samsung’s flagships.
The Galaxy S25 series will be equipped with top-notch hardware capabilities. Advanced Galaxy AI features will help them stand tall against rivals. Copying the name is easy but there’s no comparison between itel and Samsung’s S25 Ultra.
Last year, itel launched the S24 series in certain markets. Now, the company come up with the S25 and S25 Ultra, which even cost less than Samsung’s affordable phones. itel copied the possible camera arrangement and brought a curved screen.
itel S25 and S25 Ultra come with flat AMOLED and curved AMOLED screens, respectively. The phones get a 50MP main camera, 32MP selfie snapper, 5000mAh battery as well as IP54 splash resistance.
The itel S25 and S25 Ultra models are available for purchase in the Philippines. The S25 starts at PHP 5,799 (~ $110), while the S25 Ultra starts at PHP 10,999 (~ $210) for 8GB RAM + 128GB/256GB storage configuration.
People may find the itel S25 and S25 Ultra good deals in the budget segment. The company managed to steal the design aesthetics very well this time. However, it will still feel far from the real thing that Samsung may bring in 2025.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Release
Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra in January 2025. The flagship will be equipped with a high-profile display, Qualcomm’s most powerful processor, an upgraded ultrawide camera, new Galaxy AI features, and a refined design.
The Note-like boxy appearance will be ditched in the S25 Ultra. Rather, Samsung is reportedly opting for a Note 20-like design approach with minimal rounds on corners. The camera rings may also be inspired by the Z Fold 6’s.

Samsung Tri-Fold phone won’t remain a dream
Huawei recently launched the world’s first tri-fold smartphone with dual folding screens. Samsung is also working on its tri-fold phone, which will be released internationally, unlike the China-exclusivity of Huawei’s Mate XT smartphone.
Samsung seemingly speeding up its work on the tri-fold phone. The company has got approval on a patent in the US Patent Office, as spotted by MSPoweruser. The move suggests that Samsung wants to commercialize a tri-fold in the future.
The patent teases what a triple-folding Galaxy device might look like. Notably, the company submitted a patent application on date backing in July 2021. The authority has now approved the submission and published it on the database.
Samsung’s potential Tri-Fold phone could open once to a small tablet size and then extend again to reveal an even larger display. The aim is to offer the experience of a regular bar phone, a tablet, and a laptop through a single handset.
Simply put, the Galaxy Tri-Fold could be a replica of the Huawei Mate XT in terms of form factor and functionality. As Samsung is entering the market late, it’s working on an even more flexible panel with increased durability.
The work to lessen strain is also underway, to this end, the panel could get an anti-reflective layer. It may help with visibility and incorporating “at least one of stainless steel, invar, glass, and a titanium alloy” which could potentially help with durability.
At CES last year, Samsung Display showcased several prototypes with innovative form factors. The array also included a tri-fold device referred to as Flex S. Approval on the patent should finally bring the dream Tri-Fold Galaxy to reality.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim Likely to Miss Early 2025 Release
Samsung may not release the Galaxy S25 Slim early next year. The company could stick to its usual launch strategy of introducing new Galaxy S flagships. The additional Slim-branded variant could come out a few months later.
According to MaxJambor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim won’t release alongside the Galaxy S25 lineup. The source confirmed that the S25 Slim “exists behind closed doors,” suggesting that the phone is still under consideration.
Apart from this, Max also claimed that the Galaxy S25 Slim won’t replace the Galaxy S25 FE. That said, pro-grade hardware specifications are highly likely on Samsung’s rumored Slim-branded flagship smartphone.
Max Jambor on Galaxy S25 Slim debut
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim exists behind closed doors, but if it’s set to launch at some point, it won’t be released alongside the rest of the S25 lineup.
IceUniverse recently revealed that the Galaxy S25 Slim could pack an “Ultra” camera. The cryptic X post hints at a 200-megapixel sensor on the S25 Slim. However, the other camera specifications remain yet to be known.
Recently, Samsung’s SM-S937U was spotted on the GSMA IMEI database. The model number hints at a fourth Galaxy S25 variant that could be Slim or Special Edition. The phone is said to feature a thinner design than the other S25 flagships.
Samsung is considering bringing the Galaxy S25 Slim to compete with Apple’s iPhone 17 Air. It is reported that Apple has finalized the iPhone 17 Air with a slimmer design and single camera, but it could replace the iPhone 17 Plus.
The South Korean tech giant might drop the first hint at the Galaxy S26 design with the Galaxy S25 Slim. Korean media reported that the S25 Slim’s market response will decide how Samsung will design the Galaxy S26 series to be released in 2026.
