Samsung releases April 2022 security update to carrier-locked Galaxy S21 in the US

Yesterday, Samsung started rolling out the April 2022 Android security patch update for the carrier-unlocked Galaxy S21 smartphone users in the US. Meanwhile, the company is now expanding the latest software update to the carrier-locked models in the country.

These vulnerabilities are related to improper access controls in S Secure, Samsung Contacts app, Knox Manage, StroageManager, StroageManagerService, One UI Home, Samsung DeX Home, and more.
You can identify this software update for your Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra through the One UI build version G991USQS5CVCB, G996USQS5CVCB, and G998USQS5CVCB respectively.
If you haven’t received the Samsung Galaxy S21 April 2022 update notification, you can check and download it manually through the Setting of your smartphone. Now enter the Software update option and click Download and install.
Wait for the device to check available active and finally tap Download now (if available). You can tap Install now or Schedule install when the update is downloaded. Once, installed the phone will reboot and start initial apps optimizations.
