Samsung on second place in EPO Patent Applications
Samsung and LG are among the two companies that are ranked in second and third place among all the South Korean companies that have filled the patent application with the European Patent Office (EPO) which has also hit an all-time high last year.
‘Buisnesskorea’ revealed that the European Patent Office announced on April 5 2022 that the South Korean company EPO patent application hits an all-time high to 9394 Patent, which counts to about 3.4% more than last year. Samsung is in second place with 3439 patent applications and LG is third with 2422 patent applications, respectively.
Samsung has an increase of 5% YoY, While Huawei is on the top of this list. Talking about the other companies KT&G, POSCO, and SK hynix is in fourth, fifth, and sixth place with a patent count of 233, 168, and 138, respectively.
The participation of South Korean Companies is increasing year on year and has increased to 36.2 percent last year. Samsung application industry has also increased to 57 percent, and count to 13 percent in overall contribution in the semiconductor industry.
Intel and TSMC ration count is more than other Korean companies when compared with the previous year. LG has recorded the largest patent applications in the field of electronics and energy.
Speaking particularly about EPO patent application count which has reduced by 0.7% in 2020, but has increased by 4.5% in the year 2021. Digital Communications is one of those fields from which a major number of applications are received.
Samsung has released an update for its Group Sharing app for One UI devices, which can be verified through One UI build version 13.6.13.2. This update enhances the app’s functionality and resolves several issues to provide a smoother user experience.
The Group Sharing app comes pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy devices. It serves as a platform for users to share content across Samsung’s essential apps such as Gallery, Samsung Note, Calendar, and Reminder. It utilizes Samsung account share groups for efficient content distribution among contacts.
With the new update, users can expect a more seamless sharing process and error-free service. However, it does not bring any new features or changes but improves the app’s overall performance.
Samsung Group Sharing 13.6.13.4 update is available on the Galaxy Store with an installation package size of 17.43 MB. You can download the update through the Galaxy Store or from the third-party app source link mentioned here.
