Samsung is always one step forward in terms of a foldable smartphone. At present, the company offers two types of foldable devices – the clamshell folding Z Flip series and the book-like Z Fold series. But it may soon add a third model as well.

Recently, we’ve heard that more information about the third Samsung foldable coming this year. According to a well-known tipster Ice Universe, the secret device with codenamed “Diamond”. A previous report stated that Samsung referred to it internally as “N4”.

However, the latest report also indicates that Samsung Diamond will be released in the second half of 2022. Well, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will also be coming in August or September. So the Korean brand may be planning to launch three foldable models at once.

But an important question arises. What is the form factor of the third Samsung foldable? Well, it may not be a foldable device. The tipster indicates that the Korean giant is making a rollable smartphone. They say it has a “high probability”.

Rollable smartphones have a hidden screen that can be pulled out when needed. It enables large screen real estate on a small device. Samsung has recently patented a number of rollable smartphone designs. The company also unveiled a concept device at CES 2022 earlier this year. So it is now preparing this device for the market.

Samsung is now making fourth-generation foldable smartphones and is gradually addressing those concerns with each generation. We need to see how its first rollable smartphone will be stocked up. We need to hear more about this device in the coming months.
