This multi-device feature was introduced as a beta update eight months ago. This lets WhatsApp for Android and iOS devices connect up to four linked desktop devices at once, without the need for an active internet connection on your phone.

Multi-device features will improve the user experience of using WhatsApp, but WhatsApp is aware that there are some features missing in multi-device like link preview, broadcast lists, missing chats with your own phone number, and many more. But WhatsApp is working on bringing these features in the next release.

WhatsApp to roll out some changes and improvements including the above-mentioned feature in multi-device for Android users in April this year. Which ensures the best security experience through end-to-end encryption.
