Update:

Samsung has now standardized this method, listing that its new budget devices can be shipped without a charging brick on its official retail store in the United States.

Both the Galaxy A13 5G and Galaxy A03 do not have a charger in their respective “whats in the box” of the Samsung Store and the explanation states that the charger will be sold separately.

After flagship, more Samsung smartphones can now come in a retail box without a charger. According to a new rumor, the South Korean giant is removing the power brick from the budget and mid-range devices.

A well-known tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore suggested that the European retailers that Samsung’s newly launched budget smartphones will be shipped without the Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A23 in-box charger.

The Galaxy M23 and Galaxy M33, which are not yet official, do not even have a charging adapter in the box. This is surprising in a way we have never heard before. All of these devices have been the subject of numerous leaks recently, but none of the retail boxes claim to have a missing charger.

After flagship, Samsung to remove chargers from budget and mid-range smartphones

Most notably, Samsung has so far only shipped flagship products without an in-box charging brick. And the budget and mid-range products always come with a bundled power adapter. The smartphone market is becoming more competitive than ever, especially in the lower price segment.

So companies are looking for ways to save some cost. In fact, the manufacturers call it stability and this is not wrong. But this is not the only reason. It’s also a lot more about the profit margin.

It looks like the company is now considering removing the charger from its affordable smartphone as well. If the above four Galaxy devices are not found, the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73 may not be available.

This decision may upset our Samsung or SammyFans, but it’s definitely the way forward. Samsung already knows that most buyers do not consider the lack of an inbox charger to be a deal-breaker when buying a new smartphone.
