Kernel source codes released for Samsung Galaxy S22 Exynos variant

Samsung Galaxy S22 series was launched last month. The devices saw more popularity and love by users than any other Samsung smartphone to date. All three phones use top-grade internals including hardware as well as software, thus, placing a new standard for premium smartphones.

In a recent development, the company has published the kernel source code for the trio. Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series in two variants – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200. However, the kernel source codes are released only for the Exynos variant.

Kernel source codes are released to comply with the GPLv2 license which is under the Linux kernel. They may be of little importance to regular users, but will certainly be helpful to developers and sufficiently skilled tinkerers who want to push their tools to the limits of their capabilities.

These codes are important details that help developers to build custom kernels and ROMs for devices. Moving on, if you’re a developer, you can now go to the Samsung Open Source Release Center and access the kernel source code for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
