Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra passes JerryRigEverything’s durability test
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra is a phenomenal five-star phone and a new play toy for the YouTube tech enthusiasts. As we all know this is Samsung’s newest flagship device, which resembles its Galaxy note lineups rather than its S-series phones.
Previously, the device has undergone many tests such as camera comparison, battery test, charging test and just recently, we have witnessed its dropdown test as well. In a queue, a popular YouTuber ‘Zack Nelson’ better known as ‘JerryRig’ has performed a durability test on YouTube Channel ‘JerryRigEverything’.

In a durability test, it came to know that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is built like a tank, and consists of top-notch Aluminium Armor Metal, and Gorilla Glass Victus+. Jerry has performed the scratch test, bend test, and display test using a lighter on it.
During the scratch test, Jerry noticed that the S22 Ultra does not come with the factory-fitted screen protector. The device started getting scratches at level 6, though the phone is fitted with the Gorilla Glass Victus+ and the scratch started to get deepen at level 7.
The Razorblade was unable to leave a stray mark on the backside matte glass back of the device. Zack in the next level has nailed the S-Pen of S22 Ultra, inside the S-Pen he found a lot of glue, this is to make it more moisture resistant this time. It also includes a rechargeable capacitor for supporting the S-Pen Bluetooth feature.
In the display test, Zack has exposed the phone screen in front of the lighter, after a long duration a permanent white mark has appeared on the phone’s screen. The fingerprint scanning sensor worked well with fluidity, even after scratching its detection area a lot.
Last but not the least, is the bend test in which the smartphone performed well, there was no sign of strain found on the body, even after bending the phone up to the extreme level, and here we have the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, who have passed Jerry’s test long lastingly.
Yesterday, we saw the Samsung Galaxy S24 series renders that revealed the phones’ design. While the Galaxy S24 and S24+ feature flat frame design, the S24 Ultra apparently brings the narrowest bezel in history. The same source now posted cropped images so you can better understand the design changes.
Samsung has slightly changed the aspect ratio of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This results in changes in the middle frame, and ditches the curved edges, indicating a flat display design. In the video below, you can see the transformation of the S23 Ultra into the upcoming S24 Ultra device.

As you can see in the comparison renders, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has an almost flat design as compared to its predecessor. The company has already reduced the curvature with the S23 Ultra this year, and it’s going to be flat, starting with the S24 Ultra next year.

Samsung recently unveiled its fifth-generation foldable smartphones in China, where they have different names and features than the global versions. The Samsung W24 is the rebranded version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, while the Samsung W24 Flip is of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. These phones have some differences in aspects like RAM, weight, and wallpapers.
The Samsung W24 and W24 Flip come with exclusive wallpapers that are not available on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. The new flat frame is a significant design overhaul that Samsung enthusiasts will see with the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. On the front, there is a tiny punch-hole design consisting of the selfie snapper sensor, while the rear three cameras are placed vertically on the top left panel.
