Samsung brings Care Plus Case Subscription service for Galaxy S22, Galaxy Tab S8 buyers

Samsung Care Plus Case Subscription

Recently, Samsung launches the ‘Samsung Care Plus Case Subscription’ service on the 25th for customers who purchase the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series. This service is a monthly flat-rate product that offers an additional true case to the mobile total care service ‘Samsung Care Plus Damage Guarantee Type’.

It was first introduced in the second half of last year with the release of the third generation foldable phone. This year the scope of the subscription service will be extended not only to smartphones but also to tablets.

Samsung Care Plus Case Subscription

If a buyer purchasing the Galaxy S22 series subscribes to the ‘Samsung Care Plus Case Subscription’ service, they can get 2 Damage Guarantees, 3 Visit Repairs, and 3 Genuine Cases per year. Likewise, customers who purchase the Galaxy Tab S8 series can get 3 Damage Guarantees and 2 genuine cases, and the ‘Monami 153 S Pen’ for one year.

Samsung Care Plus Case Subscription

If you subscribe for one year, you can save up to 35% and 41% respectively by subscribing to ‘Samsung Care Plus’ and purchasing the original case or S Pen separately.

You can choose Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ from 9 variants for free and Galaxy S22 Ultra from 8 different real cases. Supportive tools that can be used together are also provided. The monthly membership fee is 12,900 won.

Samsung Care Plus Case Subscription

The original case for the Galaxy Tab S8 series can be selected from the Book Cover Protective Standing Cover, Strap Cover. It’s priced at 1,900 won, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 16,900 won. You can sign up for the ‘Samsung Care Plus Case Subscription’ service on the Samsung Members app from April 25 to 30.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have started getting One UI 6.1 update and Galaxy AI features, as promised. This is the first tablet series to receive the One UI 6.1 update. In addition to the Galaxy Tab S9 series, other six Galaxy devices have also recently begun receiving this major update.

One UI 6.1 is the latest custom skin of Samsung, which introduces Galaxy AI features. The update highlights several smart functions to Samsung Internet, Gallery, Voice Recorder, Call, Messages, and more that use AI to provide a better and more intuitive experience.

However, the One UI 6.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series does not include Galaxy AI’s Live Translate features. If you have a Galaxy Tab S9 tablet, you can install it to enjoy new features.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series are grabbing Galaxy AI features with One UI build version ending with BXC9 and an installtion package size of 2.9GB.

The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.  users can check new software updates manually with a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.

Samsung has pushed the One UI 6.1 update and Galaxy AI features for the Galaxy S23 series in Korea and India, following the release in the US and Europe. The update offers improved functionalities that facilitate communication across different languages, enable sharing of creative content, and enhance productivity.

One UI 6.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can be verified with One UI build versions S91xNKSU2CXCG in Korea and S91xBXXU3CXCF in India. The installation package size of this update is around 3.1GB.

Introduced with the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung‘s One UI 6.1 update has begun expanding to more Galaxy devices from March 28. The changelog of the One UI 6.1 update is now listed with the expansion for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones.

Circle to Search

  • Circle to Search quickly provides information about objects, images, or text shown on your screen. Touch and hold the Home button to enable Circle to Search, then simply circle the displayed content using your finger to see additional details.

Call

  • Tap the Call assist button during a phone call.
  • Select Live translate, then start talking. The other person on the call can hear what you say in their language.
  • You can select the language you’d like your call to be translated to. Use the download option in settings to download more languages

Samsung Messages

  • Chat Assist will suggest corrections and other useful details. You can change your writing style or get spelling and grammar corrections and suggestions. For example, after composing a message using the Samsung Messages app, select the AI icon   on the Samsung keyboard, then choose the correction you’d like to implement and wait for the AI to process it.
  • Select Chat translation to view messages in your language.
  • Select Writing style to change the tone of your messages.

Interpreter

  • With Interpreter, you can engage in spontaneous conversations with locals while traveling as the split-screen feature generates text translations for live conversations.
  • Tap Interpreter in the Quick Panel, choose your preferred language, and tap the mic button to speak. You can download additional languages in Interpreter settings.

Samsung Note

  • With AI in Samsung Note, you can simply turn big blocks of text into easy-to-read bullet points with the Auto format option by selecting the AI icon  . In addition to Auto format, you can choose other options. The Summarize option gives you a quick summary of the text you selected. Correct spelling helps to correct your spelling errors. Translate can translate your notes to the language you’d like to translate them to

Voice Recorder

  • With AI, you can easily summarize and translate your voice recording from meetings, lectures, voice memos and more into text by using the Voice Recorder app. In addition, you can summarize them for a quick review.
  • Select a recording you want to transcribe > select Transcribe > select the language > wait for the AI to process the transcription.
  • Once the AI process is completed, you will see the full text transcript. Select Summary if you’d like a quick summary. Select the   button to translate the text to a different language.

Browsing Assist (Samsung Internet)

  • Summarize and translate webpages as you browse the internet.
  • Tap the Browsing assist icon and get a summary or translation of the current webpage, powered by advanced intelligence

Gallery

Generative Edit

  • Reimage your pictures with Photo Editor. You can move people and objects around, resize them, or remove them entirely. You can even change the angle of images, then fill in the gaps around the edges.
  • For example, select a photo from the Gallery app > select Edit > select the  icon > select an object and move it to a different position > select Generate > and select Done once the AI process is completed. Save the image if you like the complete look. Please note, an AI generated image will have a mark   on the bottom of the image to show it is processed by AI and not a real picture.

Edit Suggestions

  • If you’re not sure how to edit a photo or video in the Gallery app, let AI Edit Suggestion help you out. This feature provides editing suggestions, such as removing reflections and unwanted objects, remastering your photos, colorizing and adding portrait effects to transform and elevate your photos and videos.
  • Select the icon to view the suggested editing options on the photo you selected, then chose the option you want to implement.

Call & Text on other devices

  • Call & Message Continuity syncs your calls and messages across your Samsung devices.
  • To enable this, go to settings > Connected devices > select Call & Text on other devices.
  • Once you’re in settings, choose the device you want to sync your calls, messages or both to. Please note Samsung account is needed.

Mobile network settings

  • 5G toggle on and off settings have been added to the Mobile networks menu to allow you to turn off 5G if you don’t want to use it. Simply toggle it back to enable 5G again. Go to settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Choose the 5G setting you want to turn off (“Allow 5G service” or “Use 5G standalone networks” or both).
