[Report] Samsung Galaxy S22+, S22 Ultra 45W super-fast charging is a lie!

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S22 series flagships earlier this month, and now, their reviews have started to emerge on the web. Recently, GSMArena review team tested the super-fast charging capability of Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra phones, proving 45W charging is a lie.
While Chinese OEMs have already launched their mobile phones with up to 120W fast-charging capacity, 45W charging speed isn’t a big deal as it comes with Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Meanwhile, we can take it as a major development against products from Chinese rivals.

According to the information, the review team used to charge the Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra models with three chargers including the original Samsung 45W and 25W (PD/PPS) chargers as well as a third-party 65W PD charger. You can check the charging speed review below.
30 min charging test
After 30 minutes, the Galaxy S22+ reached 62% and 64% with the original Samsung 25W and 45W chargers respectively. Within the same duration, the Galaxy S22 Ultra reached 61% and 60% with 25W and 45W chargers respectively.
On the other hand, the third-party 65W PD adapter charged the battery of the Galaxy S22 Ultra to 65% in 30 minutes. Meanwhile, it’s important to mention that those results are all within the margin of error.
Full charge test
The Galaxy S22+ fully charged (from 0%) with the 45W charger in 1:01 hours, while 1:02 hours with 25W adapter. At the same time, the S22 Ultra took 59 minutes to fully charge with the 45W charger, while exactly 1:04 hours with the 25W one.
When it comes to the 65W PD third-party charger, it took 1:02 hours to charge the Galaxy S22 Ultra from 0% to 100%.
So, the question is there that what’s the change in charging duration when using a charger with higher watt? It obviously hints at there’s nothing new for Samsung Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra charging, and 45W charging is a lie.

7,000mAh Hype Dies: Galaxy S26 Ultra battery may not even reach 5,500mAh

A new rumor crushes the Galaxy S26 Ultra flagship’s 7,000mAh battery hype yet carries a piece of convincing news. Samsung may finally surpass the 5,000mAh battery bound in its flagship phones, starting with the Galaxy S26 series.
Leaker PandaFlash reports that the S26 Ultra will not be packed with a 7,000mAh battery. Beyond that, the source highlighted that the phone won’t even reach 6000mAh capacity as Samsung Test Lab allegedly has up to 5500mAh battery.
It seems to be a big downgrade (everything in rumors), but the S26 Ultra may finally bring a 5500mAh battery. Things may be even better if Samsung finally jumps to the next-gen silicon carbon battery technology next year.
Compared to lithium-ion, silicon carbon batteries improve the capacity by at least 10 percent. The new material will keep the size intact while boosting the capacity. A significant jump can only be possible if Samsung opts for Si/C batteries.

Meanwhile, Samsung is prioritizing software optimization to increase efficiency. Similar to Apple, the company is working on One UI tweaks and background app processes to elevate Galaxy’s battery life rather than raising battery capacity.
A few days back, a Korean outlet’s report circulated with big battery hypes. It was confidently reported that Samsung is considering 6,000mAh to 7,000mAh capacity battery for its next-generation flagship smartphones.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be launched in January 2026. There’s a whole year and genuine inputs may appear after the debut of Z7 series foldables yet you can enjoy the tech world, which continues to evolve further.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not feature under-display camera due to quality concerns

Samsung may avoid under-display selfie camera technology in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company may continue its Infinity-O screen approach for an additional two to three years.
According to the info, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not feature an under-display camera. The technology is yet to be matured and has concerns like low resolution and quality.
Samsung doesn’t really want to compromise on the picture quality of the selfie camera. Therefore, UDC would remain a dream feature until it matures and clears its technological hurdles.
Under display/panel camera technology refers to a next-gen display that makes the selfie camera hole hidden when not in use, you only see the black sensor cutout when the camera is in use.
Earlier, rumors spread that the early S26 Ultra prototype had UDC technology. Samsung’s Display division was suspected to be considering under-display tech for the next-gen flagship.
However, the new input from a different leaker indicates that UDC isn’t coming anytime soon. Samsung has applied an under-display camera in its foldable lineup, starting with the Z Fold 3.
The Korean tech giant has just released the new Galaxy S26 series. Now, preparations are underway for a pair of mid-range phones along with the Galaxy S25 Edge (coming around April).
In the second half, the company will introduce next-generation foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to debut a more enhanced under-panel camera technology this year.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge screen leak reveals shocking details

A new leak reveals shocking details about the Galaxy S25 Edge screen. The smartphone is expected to be introduced around April this year. Meanwhile, a credible leaker just exposed its possible front appearance in a screen protector image.
Samsung insider IceUniverse posted an image of the alleged S25 Edge protective film. This leak reveals shocking details about the screen of the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, including its size, and corners; but not the bezels.
Galaxy S25 Plus comes with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display. The source also mentioned that the screen size of the S25 Edge is similar to the S25 Plus. The protective film shows extremely thin bezels that might not be the same in reality.
Third-party protective films safeguard the screen from regular scratches. The surrounding bezels differ from the consumer units. Hence, it’s unsafe to assume that the S25 Edge bezels would be similar to what is shown in the screen protector.

Previous reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be unveiled in the second quarter. The company was testing two prototypes with different designs and specs. At the Unpacked, Samsung showed us what’s being developed for consumers.
The smartphone could be packed with a 3900mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The dual camera module may have a 200-megapixel primary and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor; lacking a dedicated Telephoto zoom camera.
Snapdragon 8 Elite is almost confirmed to power the Galaxy S25 Edge. Both the US and Global variants will likely use an 8-core Snapdragon chip, with performance improvements revealed in the recent Geekbench tests.

Samsung phones rumored to integrate DeepSeek AI in China

Samsung is rumored to integrate DeepSeek AI in China. The new AI model’s rise has even surpassed ChatGPT due to its affordability and capabilities. Now, a new input indicates that Samsung would follow Chinese vendors.
Leaker IceUniverse claims that Samsung will integrate DeepSeek. This development indicates that Galaxy phones might add DeepSeek AI. The company may tweak the software to offer the new DeepSeek as a Gemini alternative.
The source post reads “Confirm that Samsung in China will connect to DeepSeek, we can look forward to it.” It points to a piece of genuine information rather than being a wild rumor that often surfaces in the smartphone world.
This integration is seen as Samsung’s strategy to align with the preferences of the Chinese market, where there is a high demand for advanced AI features without premium pricing as local vendors already announced to integration of DeepSeek.
Potential benefits for Samsung:

- Software Tweaks: DeepSeek could be customized to blend with One UI for smooth integration.
- Competitive Edge: Integrating DeepSeek could help Samsung stand out against local giants like Huawei in China.

Galaxy S25 Ultra is available with up to 1TB of storage in all countries. Meanwhile, the major US carriers are only selling 256GB and 512GB models, and the reason behind this sales strategy is yet to be explained.
