Samsung One UI 4.1 brings Advanced Auto Framing feature with Galaxy S22
The way we work has changed and the technology needed to stay ahead of the curve is constantly evolving. In that direction, the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra combines the two best worlds in Samsung’s S and Note series, which will help you and your team effectively move into the new, hybrid work world.
With the Galaxy S22 series users can work together simply, efficiently, and collaboratively, paving the way for mobile productivity. Apart from this, the Galaxy S22 introduces dynamic cameras with advanced intelligent image processing to make every moment epic.
When it comes to capturing videos, the new Auto Framing feature detects and tracks up to 10 people and automatically adjusts the camera focus, so your camera captures all of them clearly. Both devices are powered by advanced VDIS technology that reduces vibration, so you get smooth, sharp footage even on the shot.
In this article, we’ll explain to you, how Samsung has improved its Advanced Auto Framing. Also, understand how to use Advanced Auto Framing.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Advanced Auto Framing
You may have noticed that your phone’s Camera app has a setting to enable grid lines or diagonal lines. You may also have heard of the term “rule of thirds” used by professional photographers. These are tools that help in creating a good composition, resulting in better image capture.
The primary goal is to capture great photos and videos regardless of framing or what grid your subject should be on. That’s why Samsung has added Advanced Auto Framing. This Advanced Auto Framing automatically detects the subject you are shooting at and determines the location of the subject.
The phone is smart enough to change your framing based on the subject’s position. Simply put, when you record a video of a human subject, the camera zooms in or out to keep the person in the frame.
This feature also customizes focus points based on your subject location. If you capture someone a short distance away from you, the camera will zoom in on that person and even shift the focus on them. With Advanced Auto Framing, Samsung takes it to the next level by automatically creating your shot for you based on the position of your subject.
The phone locks focus on your subject and automatically adjusts the zoom range to stay close to or away from the subject. If you are shooting a person’s video, the phone will focus on the face and lock focus to create a portrait-like effect.
How to use Advanced Auto Framing on your Galaxy S22?
You can set the device to change the shooting angle and zoom automatically by recognizing and tracking people while recording videos.
- On the shooting modes list, tap VIDEO, tap the capture button to activate it and then record a video.
- To track and adjust the shooting angle and zoom in on a selected person, tap the frame that is displayed around the person.
- To deactivate tracking, tap the frame again.
Note: Activate or deactivate the auto framing feature. When you activate this feature, the device changes the shooting angle and zoom automatically by recognizing and tracking people during video calls.

Samsung’s new all-solid-state batteries will power future Galaxy devices
We have been hearing about the EV-like battery’s arrival on mobile devices. It was reported that Samsung could first bring the new battery tech in wearables. Indeed, Samsung’s all-solid-state batteries will boost future Galaxy devices.
Developments indicate at imminent launch of all-solid-state and pure silicon batteries. The new all-solid-state batteries will debut with Samsung’s future mobile devices. The mass production is expected to commence by 2026.
You may have heard about Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ achievement of successfully developing ultra-small all-solid-state batteries. These batteries replace flammable liquid electrolytes with solid ones, enhancing safety and reducing many risks.
Apart from Samsung, a North American firm is also said to be working on pure silicon batteries. This technology only uses silicon for the anode as part of promising significantly increased battery life and reduced charging times.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics has a lead…
The Korean tech giant recently announced the successful development of oxide-based ultra-small all-solid-state batteries. Samsung has also supplied prototypes to key customers for evaluation before commercializing into consumer products.
Notably, Samsung is the world’s first firm that has achieved the milestone of developing ultra-small all-solid-state batteries. As mass production is expected in 2026, we assume the Galaxy Watch 9 series could boast new all-solid-state batteries.
All-solid-state batteries are cells, which replace liquid electrolytes with non-flammable solids. Samsung is pushing for applications in wearable devices that closely adhere to the body, such as smartwatches and earbuds.
