Samsung started to roll out a new firmware update to the Galaxy S21 smartphone users in the US, bringing the latest security patch dated 2022-February-01. Well, the February 2022 update rollout has initially begun from the US carrier that will be further expanded to more markets.

Users can identify the update through PDA release versions — G998USQS5BVA6, G996USQS5BVA6, and G991USQS5BVA6 for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21. To be added, the changelog mentions nothing other than the system security improvements.

Just a few days back, Samsung released the February 2022 security patch details. As per the info, this update brings fixes for different categories of issues and exploits including 2 critical, 29 high, and 15 moderate for better device stability.
Four Android upgrades
Yesterday, Samsung announced its new Android/One UI upgrades policy that ensures four generations of OS updates support for various Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. It means, your smartphone is still eligible for three more Android updates.

The fresh update brings fixes for some issues that users encountered in previous versions to make your Galaxy S23 more stable and secure. The installation package size of this update is around 400MB.
