VMware Horizon adds Samsung DeX support on select Galaxy devices

Currently, most people work from home because of COVID-19, from the time of the beginning of global lockdown. The options look clear but the execution of this action wasn’t that easy, it become challenging for firms to execute it consistently.

To accommodate such a situation, the Horizon client on Samsung DeX and VMware workspace ONE now enable flagship Galaxy devices to serve as secondary displays for virtual desktops.

VMware and Samsung have since teamed up to develop the VDI experience on flagship Galaxy phones and tablets, combining new features and optimization that make DeX more powerful.

To access a virtual desktop shared through VMware Horizon, you only need a computer or laptop with an HTML5 browser to access the virtual environment. Installing Horizon Agent is not mandatory but would give you a much better user experience.

Booting VMware Horizon Desktop gives you both when you work within DeX. While working on a virtual desktop with full desktop applications. You are viewing content on a full-size screen.

You can visit on Google Play store to download the DeX, it’s as easy as downloading VMware Workspace ONE. Simply log in on Workspace ONE to gain access to all your work apps, including virtual apps and desktops.
