Samsung One UI 4.0 (Android 12) Color Palette Feature!

One UI 4.0, the fourth iteration of Samsung’s custom skin based on Android 12. The company has already introduced One UI 4.0 update to several Galaxy devices starting with the Galaxy S21 series.

The latest One UI version 4.0 comes with a bunch of new features including revamped icons, color palette, useful home widgets, new privacy features, and more for Samsung devices.

COLOR PALETTE

Color Palette is one of the incredible customization features offered by the One UI 4.0. It allows users of Samsung devices to set the user interface color according to the color of the current wallpaper in a meaningful way.

It is used for One UI app icons continues to be applied to the app for a cohesive experience. Hence, the green color in the phone app icon also appears on its call button, selected tab, scroll bar, etc. Of course, brightness and saturation can be adjusted depending on where and how important the color appears.

How to use Samsung One UI 4.0 Color Palette?

  • Step 1. Open your device Settings.

  • Step 2. Tap on the Wallpaper and Style options.
  • Step 3. Choose Color Palette.

  • Step 4. Now, you can choose a palette based on colors from your wallpaper.
  • Step 5. By clicking on the different palettes, you can check the preview of the changes on the screen.

  • Step 6. If you want to change app icons’ colors as per the palette then you can turn on Apply palette to app icons toggle.
  • Step 7. Press the ‘Done’ option.

 

 

Before trying out this new feature, check that your device’s software and associated apps are updated to the latest version. One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 update is being released for multiple Galaxy devices in different regions.

How to update?

  • Go to Settings.
  • Then, choose Software update.
  •  Tap on Download and install.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
