Google released the Android 12 back in October 2021, however, other OEMs are now distributing this new OS to their eligible phones on top of custom skin. At the same time, we are continuously hearing new leaks and rumors regarding the upcoming version – Android 13 and its features.

According to the latest report, Mishaal Rahman, senior technical editor at Esper, spotted a string of code changes in the Android Open Source Project. However, the code changes are now private, but the source pointed out that the Android 13 may be able to load games faster than ever due to boosted CPU speeds.

The report reveals that a new API is being under development that allows games to communicate their current operational state to the operating system. If the game takes time for loading, the OS will send a nudge through to power management, followed by the CPU for a speed boost in order to reduce the load times.

In addition, the rumored GAME_LOADING feature is being tested at the SoC manufacturer level on Android 13, which will be available for all the upcoming phones launching with this new OS. Select Pixel phones may get the feature with the update, while other phones won’t due to the lack of an SoC-level hardware abstraction layer.
