Google Gemini

Google has released a major update to its Gemini AI assistant, which allows it to work with Extensions directly on the lock screen. This feature was first introduced in July 2024, when Gemini could be accessed without unlocking your phone.

Now, Gemini can do much more on the lock screen. You can ask it to play a song on YouTube Music, send a message on WhatsApp, control your Google Home smart devices, or even get directions on Google Maps, all without unlocking your phone. However, some tasks required unlocking the phone, which limited its use.

You can easily able to use Gemini’s features directly from your lock screen. To use this feature, you need to enable Gemini Extensions.

Google Gemini lock screen

For that, open the Gemini app, go to the Extensions section, and choose the services you want to use. Then, go to Settings in the app, find Gemini on the lock screen, and turn on two options – Use Gemini without unlocking, and Make calls and send messages without unlocking.

This new feature makes it much easier to use your phone on the go. You won’t need to unlock your device just to play music, send a quick message, or control smart devices.

With Gemini working from the lock screen, you can get things done quickly and securely, right when you need them. This new feature is expected to expand to soon to Samsung devices.

Samsung and Qualcomm made it happen! The Galaxy S25 Ultra destroyed the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the speed test. The latest Samsung flagship has become the first Android smartphone in history to defeat Apple’s iPhone.

YouTube channel PhoneBuff performed a speed test between the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The video shows a robotic arm, which is programmed to open apps and games and repeats the process in reverse order.

The speed test contained two rounds, which the Galaxy S25 Ultra completed in 3 minutes and 7 seconds. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro Max took 3 minutes and 21 seconds for the same, surrendering against the Samsung flagship.

Qualcomm played a big role in fueling robust performance in the new Samsung phones. The 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite is equipped with Qualcomm’s in-house Oryon CPU, which unlocks groundbreaking performance.

SamMobile notes that the OnePlus 13 completed both rounds in 3 minutes and 12 seconds. This device has 16GB of RAM and the same model chipset as the Galaxy S25 Ultra but failed to outclass the new Samsung smartphone.

Snapdragon 8 Elite is proving its power against Apple’s A-series chipsets. iPhones are facing performance defeats is a shocking development. Qualcomm should maintain its edge over iPhone chips and continue to harness Android flagships.

Samsung’s move to go all Snapdragon is now proving excellent. Exynos 2500 can’t offer such performance despite its 10-core CPU architecture. Meanwhile, Samsung is trying hard to return the Exynos chip with the Galaxy S26 series.

Samsung could release One UI 7 Beta 4 update for the Galaxy S24 series. A reliable tipster has recently shared a shocking input, leading us to stop dreaming about the Stable One UI 7 update following the global S25 release.

According to IceUniverse, Samsung plans to push One UI 7 Beta 4 for the Galaxy S24 series. The info coming out from a conversation held right before the S25 series’s launch. The Beta team has included an important fix in the fourth Beta.

One UI 7 Beta 4

One UI 7 Beta 4 could fix the yellowish screen problem on the Galaxy S24 series. The team acknowledged that the One UI 7 changes caused an issue where the display appears more Yellow when Color Optimization is enabled in Natural Mode.

It’s considered a side effect of the changes made in the One UI 7 software. The software staff has reportedly addressed the issue (by optimizing the display color temperature settings) and deployment will take place with Beta 4.

If you are facing the yellowish screen issue, it is recommended to either disable Color Optimization or use Visual Mode (in place of Normal).
