One of the most used messaging services, WhatsApp has been improved over the years with new features and additions. But still, a big problem is to transfer chats across different platforms.

WhatsApp does offer backup and restore, but it only works when switching from Android to another or from one iPhone to another. However, last year WhatsApp introduced a feature that lets Samsung smartphone users transfer data from iOS devices.

For now, the WhatsApp transfer feature is exclusive to Google and Samsung, but this feature may not be limited to these Android companies in the future.

Recently, WhatsApp released a new beta update for WhatsApp iOS users with version 2.22.2.74 that allows users to move their chat history from Android to iOS. However, the feature is currently under development and it will available in a future update.

If this feature is released in the future, it will be very grateful to all Android smartphone users who are not from Samsung and Google. Unfortunately, the release date is currently unknown so we will have to wait a bit longer.
